| WARNING: THIS SITE FEATURES ORIGINAL THINKING...Jim Croce once sang Don't tug on Superman's cape..., which seems like reasonable advice should we not wish to anger the supreme powers. We do have this duality in our culture: the Superman that is the state collective, the leftist call to a politics of meaning managed by the state, the deification of "we're from the government and we'll take care of you" - versus the Superman that celebrates individual freedom, private property, freedom of conscience, free enterprise, and limited government. We humbly take on the latter's mantle and, eschewing the feeble tug, we dare to PULL, in hope of seeing freedom's rescue from the encroaching nanny state. We invite you, dear reader, to come and pull as well... Additionally, if you assume that means that we are unflinching, unquestioning GOP zombies, that would be incorrect. We reject statism in any form and call on individuals in our country to return to the original, classical liberalism of our founders. (We're also passionate about art, photography, cooking, technology, Judeo/Christian values, and satire as unique, individual pursuits of happiness to celebrate.) |
Superman's product of the century (so far):
By now, you must be aware that the WA gubernatorial election is being contested. About time!
Explosive blogging occurred today among the NW team - Sound Politics, and Josef kept up with all the breaking news - and added new bombshells.
Also see Tim Goddard, Hamilton's Pamphlets and Digital Brown Pajamas for more good thoughts.
What an honor to be counted among this band of brothers!
As usual, I will host the GOP legal docs. Also as usual, you may link to them without attribution to this site if you don't want to link to this post.
The Petition is the main litigation document alleging the problems with the election. The Vance Affidavit is GOP state Chair Chris Vance's declaration of personal harm caused by the problems with the election and recites the main allegations, the Note for Chelan Motion is a notice that the Chelan court (I'm assuming, but don't know for sure that this case is being conducted in Chelan county because that is where they could obtain the earliest hearing) will hear the case next Friday, and the Chelan Motion is an expedited discovery request - asking the court to accelerate the GOP's request poweres for depositions (testimony) and document production (discovery).
Happy reading - it's good stuff.
UPDATE: Powerline continues to show interest in things like voting by the dead.
