WARNING: THIS SITE FEATURES ORIGINAL THINKING...Jim Croce once sang Don't tug on Superman's cape..., which seems like reasonable advice should we not wish to anger the supreme powers. We do have this duality in our culture: the Superman that is the state collective, the leftist call to a politics of meaning managed by the state, the deification of "we're from the government and we'll take care of you" - versus the Superman that celebrates individual freedom, private property, freedom of conscience, free enterprise, and limited government. We humbly take on the latter's mantle and, eschewing the feeble tug, we dare to PULL, in hope of seeing freedom's rescue from the encroaching nanny state. We invite you, dear reader, to come and pull as well... Additionally, if you assume that means that we are unflinching, unquestioning GOP zombies, that would be incorrect. We reject statism in any form and call on individuals in our country to return to the original, classical liberalism of our founders. (We're also passionate about art, photography, cooking, technology, Judeo/Christian values, and satire as unique, individual pursuits of happiness to celebrate.)

People Pulling

Time to update these results now that it's not all Seahawks fans complaining. The numbers have shifted in the other direction. Sorry to have to break it to you.

EMCEE: Up past your bedtime little Eric? Yep, that F score is a great improvement. As far as the calls on the plays in question are concerned, the truth will out. Go suck your thumb some more and watch.

Let's take a look at the most recent numbers shall we? Compare these to the above numbers, which were mostly Seahawks fans needing a place to vent their frustrations:

So...the majority of those polled gave the refs a passing grade, then.

Of course, had the bad call in that year's AFC Divisional playoff (where Polamalu did not get credit for a clear INT) resulted in an Indy/Seattle Super Bowl, and Manning and Co. won instead, everyone would have hailed Manning and Colts and swept that call under the rug.

Its what the NFL does (look at Spygate). I'm sorry the Hawks did not get (in your view) a fair game. But what has ALWAYS separated good from great is whether you can overcome adversity. If you watch objectionably, Pittsburgh had to overcome a slow start and a 3rd and long that should not have been too.

Or are we going to demand that the Hawks and Panthers and Eagles and Rams all get a 2nd Lombardi trophy for the times the Pats and Steelers supposedly were "given" the game or "cheated?"
